On Sunday, 5 July 2015, at night at 3:05, in Kaunas, on Kalniečių street near No. 235, at the junction with Žeimenos street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Omega, an Opel Vectra-B, a Volkswagen Sharan, an Opel Zafira and an Audi A3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Opel Omega (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
