On Sunday, 26 July 2015, in the evening at 22:03, in Kaunas, on Pramonės pr., at the junction with V. Krėvės pr., a BMW 318 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 21-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
