On Tuesday, 28 July 2015, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Palanga, on Klaipėdos pl., at the junction with Vėžių street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Honda Accord and an Opel Vectra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Honda (22 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules and failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
