On Saturday, 8 August 2015, in the evening at 18:59, in Plungės district municipality, Alsėdžių town, on Telšių street, at the junction with Gadunavo street, a head-on collision while overtaking occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 Avant and a Renault Clio. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and violated overtaking rules. He was drunk (1.33‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
