Drunk Renault driver runs off the road at Bačiūnų and Strazdų streets, Šiauliai

On Sunday, 30 August 2015, in the evening at 20:38, in Šiauliai, on Bačiūnų street, at the junction with Strazdų street, at a public-transport stop, a Renault Megane ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Renault (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.68‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
