On Friday, 30 October 2015, in the evening at 18:02, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 62.10), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Hyundai Santa FE. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Opel (19 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
