On Wednesday, 18 November 2015, in the evening at 21:51, in Šiauliai, on Tilžės street near No. 68, an Opel Vectra hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Three people were injured — a 27-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized), a 29-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized) and the 23-year-old driver of the Opel (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by a 27-year-old pedestrian, who failed to obey traffic-control signals. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
