On Friday, 4 December 2015, in the morning at 10:20, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Jonava–Liepiai–Pasraučiai national road (kilometre 4.02), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Galant and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi, who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
