On Monday, 7 December 2015, in the evening at around 20:00, in Joniškio district municipality, Skakų village, on Senoji street, an Audi 80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Audi (1 year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and entered the oncoming traffic lane. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
