On Sunday, 27 December 2015, in the evening at 20:45, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 158.33), an Opel Vectra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Opel (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, there was a blizzard, a strong wind was blowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
