On Thursday, 7 January 2016, in the afternoon at 13:38, in Tauragės district municipality, on Prezidento street near No. 39, at the junction with Birutės street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 308 and a Volkswagen Sharan registered in France. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Peugeot (10 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
