On Tuesday, 19 January 2016, in the evening at 18:09, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 300), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FH, a Krone SDR27 and a MAN TGA 18.440 4X2 BLS. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the driver of the Volvo (5 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
