On Thursday, 4 February 2016, in the afternoon at 13:50, in Utenos district municipality, on the Utena–Sudeikiai–Alaušas–Dusetos regional road (kilometre 2.70), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and an Audi A6 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.29‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
