On Thursday, 11 February 2016, in the evening at 18:40, in Birštono municipality, on B. Sruogos street, a car hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 47-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing the carriageway where prohibited and was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest). The driver was sober.
