On Friday, 12 February 2016, in the evening at 21:22, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Mikniškės–Kurmelionys regional road (kilometre 0.40), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 207 and a Mitsubishi Pajero. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to choose a safe speed and entered the oncoming traffic lane.
