On Sunday, 21 February 2016, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 95.50), a DAF FT XF95.430 registered in Russia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the DAF (23 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
