On Friday, 22 April 2016, in the morning at 7:55, in Anykščių district municipality, on Dariaus ir Girėno street, at the junction with Liudiškių street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V70 and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Volvo (11 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober.
