On Friday, 6 May 2016, at night at 23:30, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 4.30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 407 and an Audi 100 Avant. Two people were injured — the 24-year-old driver of the Audi (treated as an outpatient) and a 19-year-old passenger of the Audi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Peugeot (5 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
