On Sunday, 15 May 2016, in the afternoon at 12:42, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 118.14), a Citroen ZX rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Citroen (14 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
