On Saturday, 21 May 2016, at night at 23:21, in Kaunas, on Baltų pr. near No. 42, an Audi A4 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Audi (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
