On Monday, 6 June 2016, in the evening at 21:27, in Alytaus district municipality, Griškonių village, on the Onuškis–Butrimonys–Punia regional road (kilometre 26.40), an Opel Zafira rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Opel, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.91‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
