On Wednesday, 15 June 2016, in the afternoon at 14:22, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Smilgiai–Sujetai regional road (kilometre 4.25), a Renault Laguna rolled over. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
