On Saturday, 18 June 2016, in the evening at 22:40, in Kalvarijos municipality, Kasauskų village, on the Kalvarija–Sangrūda–Mockai regional road (kilometre 5.90), a Suzuki ran off the road. One person died — the 29-year-old driver of the Suzuki (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Suzuki (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
