On Sunday, 19 June 2016, at night at 4:15, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 292.86), a Rover 75 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Rover, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.66‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
