On Saturday, 18 June 2016, in the evening at 18:35, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Pirčiupiai–Jašiūnai national road (kilometre 17.13), a Seat Ibiza hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Seat (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.67‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
