On Wednesday, 22 June 2016, in the afternoon at 15:30, in Šilutės district municipality, Gaidelių village, on Karjero street near No. 2, a MTZ 80L ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the MTZ (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.64‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
