On Saturday, 25 June 2016, at night at around 2:00, in Šiauliai, on Ganyklų street near No. 13, a Mazda 323 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Mazda (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
