On Wednesday, 6 July 2016, in the afternoon at 12:55, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 49), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Fiat Ducato, a Seat Alhambra and a Volvo V70. One person was injured — a 83-year-old passenger of the Volvo (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Fiat (4 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober.
