On Friday, 8 July 2016, in the evening at around 18:00, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vievis–Maišiagala–Nemenčinė national road (kilometre 5.50), a collision occurred. The collision involved a Nissan X-Trail and a Porsche Cayenne Turbo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 67-year-old driver of the Nissan (46 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
