On Thursday, 14 July 2016, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 114), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Honda Civic, a MAN TGX registered in Hungary and an Audi A3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Honda (14 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
