On Saturday, 16 July 2016, in the afternoon at 15:40, in Ignalinos district municipality, on the Kiti keliai local road (kilometre 0.31), a Ford BFP (MONDEO) L registered in Estonia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Ford, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
