On Saturday, 16 July 2016, in the morning at 7:36, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 58), a Volkswagen Passat ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (40 years of driving experience), who was driving fatigued and failed to choose a safe speed.
