On Tuesday, 19 July 2016, in the evening at 17:40, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Paverpenis–Burbaičiai–Mockaičiai regional road (kilometre 4.40), a Rover 414 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Rover (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She refused a sobriety test. A 41-year-old passenger of the Rover was drunk (2.67‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
