On Thursday, 21 July 2016, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 206), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Seat Toledo and an Opel Meriva. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Seat (16 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.80‰ blood alcohol).
