On Friday, 29 July 2016, in the evening at 17:15, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Šiluva–Lyduvėnai regional road (kilometre 2.52), an Opel Meriva ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Opel (31 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.10‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
