On Wednesday, 3 August 2016, in the evening at 22:34, in Pasvalio district municipality, Grūžių village, on Julijono Lindės-Dobilo street, at the junction with Broniaus Uoginto street, a Mitsubishi Colt hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.48‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
