On Saturday, 13 August 2016, in the morning at 6:03, in Prienų district municipality, on the Antakalnis–Jieznas–Alytus–Merkinė national road (kilometre 24.25), a Renault Kangoo rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Renault (21 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.17‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
