On Sunday, 14 August 2016, in the evening at 21:35, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 74.65), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene.
