On Sunday, 14 August 2016, in the evening at 21:38, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Subačius–Raguvėlė regional road (kilometre 3), a quad bike ran off the road. One person was injured — a 46-year-old passenger of a quad bike (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of a quad bike, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.63‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. A 46-year-old passenger of a quad bike was drunk (2.28‰). A 25-year-old passenger of a quad bike was drunk (2.89‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
