On Monday, 22 August 2016, in the evening at 22:40, in Vilniaus district municipality, Pakalniškių village, on Galantos 2-oji street, an Audi 100 Avant ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
