On Friday, 26 August 2016, in the evening at 17:41, in Klaipėda, on Šilutės pl. near No. 28, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Caddy, a Citroen Berlingo, a Toyota Corolla and a JCB 4CX. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (30 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and violated overtaking rules. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
