On Monday, 29 August 2016, at night at 23:39, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 115.19), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Volvo, who violated lighting-device usage rules.
