On Saturday, 3 September 2016, at night at around 23:00, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Rudamina–Turgeliai regional road (kilometre 15.45), an Audi 100 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
