On Thursday, 8 September 2016, at night at around 3:00, in Šakių district municipality, Lukšių town, on Draugystės street near No. 3, an Opel Vectra hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Opel, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.28‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
