On Saturday, 17 September 2016, in the evening at 21:09, in Vilnius, on Didlaukio street near No. 74, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Honda Civic, an Opel Zafira, a Volkswagen Bora, a Volkswagen Golf and a Toyota Corolla. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Honda, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.56‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
