On Monday, 26 September 2016, in the morning at around 8:00, in Panevėžys, on Taikos al. near No. 4, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Hyundai Lantra and an Audi A3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Hyundai, who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (0.11‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
