On Thursday, 6 October 2016, at night at 4:33, in Kėdainių district municipality, Trakučių village, on the Kėdainiai–Šėta–Ukmergė national road (kilometre 9.15), a Peugeot 406 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.74‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
