On Sunday, 9 October 2016, in the morning at 9:26, in Jonavos district municipality, Upninkų village, on Jaunystės street near No. 6, a Renault Megane Scenic hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.34‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
