On Saturday, 15 October 2016, at night at around 1:00, in Molėtų district municipality, Joniškio town, on Dubingių street near No. 14, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a Peugeot 406 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.54‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
