On Tuesday, 18 October 2016, in the evening at 21:30, in Vilnius, on Jono Kazlausko street, at the junction with Geležinio Vilko street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 62-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (31 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
